A generous oval pad, about 6 x 4.5 in (15 x 11.5 cm), with 100% natural Egyptian loofah fiber on the front and soft cotton terry on the back. Bound in cotton twill with a hanging loop, fully plant based and biodegradable. Grown, sun dried and sewn in Egypt. Replace every 2 to 3 months for best exfoliation.

Loofah is not a sea sponge. It is the fruit of a climbing vine, Luffa aegyptiaca, named for the country that has grown it best for centuries. Ours ripens on Nile Delta farms, dries slowly under the Egyptian sun and is cut and sewn into pads without ever touching a synthetic material. It is the same honest fiber Egyptian hammams have trusted for generations, finished to the standard of everything else we make.

Soak the pad for half a minute and the firm fiber relaxes into a supple mesh. Add your body wash to the loofah side and work in slow circles from the shoulders down. The texture lifts away dull surface cells and wakes up circulation while the lather does its work. Finish with the terry side for a soft final cleanse, rinse the pad, and hang it by its loop.

Regular, gentle exfoliation is the quiet secret behind soft skin. It clears the dry surface layer so moisturizers absorb better, helps prevent ingrown hairs and leaves a healthy glow in place of rough patches. Paired with a thick Egyptian cotton towel, it turns an ordinary shower into something closer to a spa hour.

A plastic mesh pouf sheds microplastics every time you scrub and lives on in landfill for centuries. Our pad is the opposite. Loofah fiber, cotton terry, cotton twill, nothing else. Use it for months, then compost it and start fresh. Premium for your skin, honest to the planet.

Soak the pad in warm water for 20 to 30 seconds until the fiber softens, then add your body wash or soap bar to the loofah side and massage skin in gentle circles. Rinse it clean and hang it by the loop to dry.
Dry loofah feels firm, but it softens noticeably once soaked. Start with light pressure two or three times a week and use the soft terry side for everyday cleansing. Most people find the fiber pleasantly invigorating rather than harsh.
With a proper rinse and hang dry after each use, a pad keeps its texture for around two to three months of regular showers. When the fiber starts to flatten, it is time to rotate in a fresh one.
Rinse thoroughly after every use and hang it to dry fully between showers. Once a month, refresh it with a five minute soak in warm water with a splash of white vinegar, then rinse and dry.
The soft terry side is gentle enough for the face. We recommend keeping the loofah side for the body, where it works wonders on elbows, knees, heels and shoulders.
Yes. Each pad is cut from the dried fruit of the loofah plant, Luffa aegyptiaca, grown in Egypt for centuries. There is no plastic mesh or synthetic sponge anywhere in the pad, so a retired pad can go straight into the compost.
The single is the perfect trial. The set of 3 keeps a fresh pad in rotation for one bathroom, and the set of 6 is the best value per pad for families or for stocking every shower in the house.
Our loofah is grown, sun dried and sewn in Egypt, the same origin as our Egyptian cotton towels, and ships to you in plastic free packaging.
