Egyptian Cotton Towels
100% long-staple Egyptian cotton, woven in Egypt and shipped from Egypt with duties included. Two weights: Signature at 600 GSM, the everyday towel that dries overnight, and Reserve at 700 GSM for a thicker, heavier wrap. Bath towels, bath sheets, hand towels and washcloths, in eight colors.
What makes Egyptian cotton different is fiber length. Long-staple cotton spins into a yarn with fewer loose ends, so the towel is smoother, sheds less, and gets softer with washing instead of harsher. Both of our lines are 100% Egyptian cotton with a zero-twist pile: Signature 600 GSM (588 g per bath towel) for a plush towel that dries by morning in a normal bathroom, and Reserve 700 GSM (686 g, certified by the Cotton Egypt Association) for people who want more towel and have the airflow to dry it. What makes Egyptian cotton towels worth it
Egyptian cotton is a fiber, not a construction. Its long staple spins into a finer, more continuous yarn with fewer fiber ends, which is what you feel as smoothness and what you notice a year in as a towel that has not pilled or gone thin. The label is widely misused, so the honest test is the same one we use: a stated GSM, a stated fiber, and a weight you can check on a kitchen scale. Our 70 x 140 cm bath towel weighs 588 g at 600 GSM and 686 g at 700 GSM, which is exactly what the arithmetic says it should.
We make two weights. Signature, 600 GSM, is the everyday towel and the one most people should buy: plush, and dry by morning in a bathroom without a window. Reserve, 700 GSM, is heavier and thicker, and it wants a window, a fan or a heated rail. Reserve was 800 GSM until August 2026; we moved it to 700 because the 800 pieces were slow to dry in most home bathrooms, and the 700 keeps most of the plushness at about 12% less weight. Both lines are woven at one mill in Sadat City, Egypt, and ship from Egypt with duties and import taxes included.
Which size: the bath sheet (90 x 160 cm, 864 g at 600 GSM) wraps fully around most adults; the bath towel (70 x 140 cm) is easier to dry and store. Care: wash warm at 40C (104F) with half the detergent, never use fabric softener (it coats the fiber and kills absorbency), tumble low or line dry, and add white vinegar to the rinse every few washes.
