Maroon, a deep garnet red
Maroon is closer to wine than to a fire-engine red, and that is the whole point. It reads as festive beside Dark Green in December and as a warm, serious bathroom colour in April. Solid colour from pile to hem, nothing printed. It sits well next to Pure White and Beige from the rest of the Signature range.

Christmas towels: questions we get asked
Are these printed Christmas towels?
No. Maroon and Dark Green are solid colours in the same 600 GSM Signature weave as the rest of our Egyptian cotton towels. There are no motifs or prints, so they stay in use all year instead of going back in the cupboard in January.
Will my Christmas towels arrive before Christmas?
Current status: Maroon ships 2 to 4 Nov, Dark Green ships 29 Oct. Pre-orders leave Egypt by express courier as soon as the batch lands, typically 4 to 8 days to a US door, so an order placed now lands well before December. Anything in stock ships within 1 to 2 business days.
Which sizes come in Maroon and Dark Green?
All of them: bath towel 70 x 140 cm (27.5 x 55 in), bath sheet 90 x 160 cm (35.4 x 63 in), hand towel 35 x 75 cm (13.8 x 29.5 in) and washcloth 30 x 30 cm (12 x 12 in), in sets of 2, 4 and 8, plus the 6, 8 and 12-piece bundles.
Do deep red or green towels bleed in the wash?
Deep-dyed towels can release a little excess dye the first time, so wash them on their own for the first wash, warm, without fabric softener. After that, wash with similar colours. Expect a little lint in the first two or three washes, as with any zero-twist towel, after which they settle and keep getting softer.
About our Christmas towel collection
Most Christmas bath towels are printed: a reindeer, a snowflake, a line of holly along the hem, on a thin cotton that is retired to the back of the cupboard by January. Ours are the opposite. Maroon and Dark Green are two solid colours added to the Signature line, the same 600 GSM zero-twist Egyptian cotton we weave at one mill in Sadat City, Egypt, in the same sizes and at the same prices as every other colour. They look like Christmas in December and like a well-chosen bathroom the rest of the year.
What is in the collection: 600 GSM bath towels (70 x 140 cm) in sets of 2, 4 and 8; bath sheets (90 x 160 cm) in sets of 2 and 4; hand towels (35 x 75 cm) in sets of 2, 4 and 8; washcloths (30 x 30 cm) in a set of 8; and six bundles, from a 6-piece Essential Bundle for one bathroom to 12-piece family sets. Every piece is available in both Maroon and Dark Green, so you can do a whole bathroom in one colour or split red and green between the main bath and the guest bath. Christmas hand towels for the guest bathroom are the easiest place to start.
As a Christmas gift, a towel set has a quiet advantage over most things under the tree: it gets used every day, it gets softer with every wash, and the colour is dyed to one lot at the mill, so a set of hand towels bought next year matches the bath towels bought now.
